We gathered with our esteemed partners at Edomias International PLC to mark the official closure and handover of one of our most complex and rewarding projects to date—a fully customized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Beating the Odds with Dedication
As our CEO and Founder, Ato Daniel Bekele, reminded us during his opening speech, the path of ERP implementation is notoriously difficult. “Globally, over 40% of ERP projects fail,” he noted. “It’s simple to start, but incredibly challenging to finish successfully. Today’s celebration is a powerful testimony to what is possible. It’s a beacon for other Ethiopian companies that digital transformation isn’t just a buzzword; it’s an achievable reality that fuels growth.”
This success isn’t an isolated event. It’s part of a powerful trend of execution at Ashewa Technology. With 4 project closures last month, 6 this month (including this one), and 13 scheduled for next month, we are relentlessly pushing the boundaries and making a tangible contribution to Ethiopia’s digital future.
Building the ‘Impossible’: The Custom Operation Module
Every ERP project has its complexities, but the Edomias project presented a unique challenge that our team embraced with passion. Ato Negaye Fikadu, our lead ERP Implementer, walked everyone through the technical scope.
“We implemented the full suite of core ERP modules,” he explained, “including HR, Finance, Inventory, Purchase, Sales, and Recruitment. But the real game-changer was the Operation Module.”
This wasn’t a standard feature. The Operation Module was a concept born from the specific, intricate needs of Edomias International PLC. Our team built it entirely from scratch. It was a tailored solution for a tailored operation. As Ato Negaye gave a live demonstration of the system on the big screen, the room saw firsthand how this custom module seamlessly integrated with all other functions, creating a powerful, unified system.
“This project taught us that no requirement is too unique,” Ato Negaye reflected. “As a development team, the knowledge and experience we gained are invaluable. We proved that we can listen to a client’s most specific need and build it into reality.”
